San Pietro is a brand created by Marc de Grazia Selections, drawing on grapes supplied by a group of grower cooperatives united under the Consorzio Viticoltori Alto Adige, established in 1984. The consortium brings together several Alto Adige producers whose vineyards sit between 220 and 900 meters above sea level across the Oltradige and Bassa Atesina areas, each contributing fruit shaped by its own distinct microclimate and soil composition. This wine blends tradition with modern winemaking, aiming to capture the truest expression of each grape variety the region has to offer.

This Pinot Grigio comes entirely from small vineyard plots totaling seventeen hectares in the Bassa Atesina area, planted on gravelly soils rich in dolomite limestone. Wide swings between day and night temperatures across the growing season help preserve the grapes' natural acidity, while deliberately reduced yields concentrate the fruit's aromatics. Following harvest, the wine ferments in temperature controlled steel vats, then rests in steel for seven months before bottling, an approach designed to keep the wine's freshness and varietal character front and center.

The wine shows a bright straw yellow color, opening with aromas of pear and apple layered over a core of ripe white peach. On the palate it turns taut and focused, with crisp acidity carrying through to a clean, refreshing finish. Its bright, alpine character pairs naturally with seafood, light salads, or a simple aperitif spread.
