2025 Allan Scott - Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough (750ml)
Allan Scott planted some of the first Sauvignon Blanc vines in Marlborough and has worked every harvest in the region since 1973. What began as a pioneering effort has grown into a true family enterprise, now guided by Allan and his wife Cathy alongside their children Josh, Sara, and Victoria, who oversee winemaking, viticulture, and the estate's broader operations. The family credits its success to strong vineyard sites, organic and sustainable farming, and a shared commitment to producing wine that reflects the region honestly.
The 2025 vintage followed an abundant 2024 harvest and a cool early summer that extended the ripening period across Marlborough. Warm, dry weather after February, paired with cool nights, kept the fruit free of disease and encouraged full flavor development. Generous crop levels allowed each vineyard block to be picked according to its own flavor profile rather than on a fixed schedule, so acid and sugar ripeness developed in balance, giving a wine that reads as a classic expression of the region.
The nose offers fresh chervil, dill, and red capsicum layered with mango, guava, and passionfruit. On the palate, those same flavors carry through with a light, delicate structure and crisp, well-balanced acidity. This is a natural match for delicate white meats, light seafood dishes, or simply sipped chilled on its own.
