The House of Lustau traces its roots back to 1896, when José Ruiz-Berdejo began cultivating vines on the family estate outside Jerez de la Frontera in his spare time, initially selling the wine to larger exporting bodegas as an Almacenista. Over more than a century the firm grew into one of the region's most respected sherry houses, eventually becoming Emilio Lustau SA and building a reputation for both value and quality across the full range of sherry styles.

Jarana is made entirely from Palomino grapes and aged under a protective veil of yeast known as flor for an average of four years inside Bodega Las Cruces in Jerez de la Frontera. The inland climate of the town, warmer and less coastal than nearby Sanlúcar, tends to produce a slightly rounder and fuller style of Fino than sherries aged closer to the sea.

The wine pours a pale straw color with greenish reflections, bright and clean in the glass. The nose is fresh, mineral, and pungent, with notes of salted almonds and light bakery aromas, while the palate is dry and crisp yet carries real richness through to a full finish. It makes an excellent dry aperitif and pairs beautifully with fresh seafood, smoked salmon, or Ibérico ham.
