2024 Ridge - Alexander Valley Geyserville Red (750ml)
Geyserville, Ridge Vineyards’ storied single-site bottling, remains a testament to craft and terroir. The 2024 vintage is drawn from three adjoining vineyards on a defined stretch of gravelly soil about 1.25 miles long and 0.5 miles wide. The block includes some of Ridge’s oldest vines, dating back more than 130 years, continuing a tradition of a field blend that pairs Zinfandel with its complementary varieties—Carignane, Petite Sirah, Mataro, and Alicante Bouschet.

Tasting Notes
aromas of dried spice lead into a full-bodied, lush palate layered with bold blackberry fruit, supported by vibrant acidity and integrated oak. Expect flavors of raspberry, blackberry, and cassis, interwoven with balsam and cedar from the oak, while milk chocolate lingers on the finish. The wine delivers classic blue fruit notes, incense, and crushed rocks, all underscored by a sense of gravitas from start to finish.
Ageability & Why It Stands Out
Although approachable now, this is a wine built to age, with the structure to evolve gracefully over the next decade or more. The combination of a historic vineyard footprint, a traditional field blend, and a careful, restrained oak regimen contributes to a wine that deepens with time while remaining expressive in its youth.
