2022 Crosby Roamann - Pinot Noir Petaluma Gap (750ml)
2022 Crosby Roamann Pinot Noir — Petaluma Gap (750ml)
From Crosby Roamann, a small-production Pinot Noir that showcases single-vineyard character with minimal intervention. Founded in 2006 by Sean and Juliana McBride, Crosby Roamann emphasizes letting a vineyard speak for itself—native fermentations, limited additives, and wines that are rarely fined or filtered.
The Rowan Vineyard occupies a hillside on the northern edge of the Petaluma Gap—a steep, south- and southwest-facing slope with limestone-rich soils that lend brightness and mineral lift to the wine.
Fermented on native yeasts and aged 17 months in 40% new French oak, this Pinot Noir balances expressive fruit with structural depth.
Tasting notes
On the palate, it presents fresh, ripe strawberry and rhubarb accented by a hint of dark cocoa and crushed red pepper, evolving to a savory finish with black tea and black olive tapenade.
