2013 Signatory Linkwood 10 yr Single Malt 700ml

Linkwood distillery has operated in Speyside since the late 19th century and has long been valued by blenders for its clean, delicate, floral spirit, which historically made it a favored component in many well-known Scotch blends. This particular cask comes from Signatory Vintage, an independent bottler founded in 1988 by Andrew and Brian Symington, whose name reflects the company's original plan to have a distinguished figure sign each label, a practice abandoned when their very first release sold out before a suitable signatory could be found.

Distilled at Linkwood in 2013, this whisky spent a full decade maturing in second-fill Oloroso sherry butts, a cask type well suited to Linkwood's naturally light spirit, allowing the sherry influence to build steadily without overwhelming the malt's inherent character. It was bottled in 2024 as part of Signatory's 100 Proof Edition series, at 57.1% ABV, without added color or chill filtration.

The nose offers freshly baked cookies, toasted cereal, and garden herbs alongside honeyed sweetness. On the palate, dried date, apple, and fig meet toasted hazelnut and pistachio, with hints of black tea adding a savory edge. The finish carries cinnamon, nutmeg, and lingering toffee sweetness from the sherry cask.
