Few names carry more weight in the Southern Rhône than Vieux Télégraphe. The Brunier family has farmed the storied plateau of La Crau for over a century, and their flagship red remains one of Châteauneuf-du-Pape's benchmark wines — a seamless expression of Grenache-driven power wrapped in extraordinary finesse.

The 2023 vintage is a blend of 70% Grenache, 15% Mourvèdre, and 15% Syrah, all aged in large oak foudres.  From the glass comes a fragrant rush of rose petal, wild strawberry, and licorice, with stemmy complexity from whole-cluster vinification. Juicy, full-bodied, and immediately alluring, it shows precisely balanced fruit and a remarkably elegant finish

The 2023 vintage earned 97–98 points from James Suckling and Jeb Dunnuck awarded it 95 points, calling it "an outright classic."  Approachable now, it will benefit from 2–4 years of cellaring and has two decades of overall longevity ahead.

95 Points
"The classic 2023 Châteauneuf Du Pape checks in as 70% Grenache, 15% Mourvèdre, and 15% Syrah raised all in foudre. It's another incredibly classic wine from this domaine that has beautiful red fruit (cherries, framboise) as well as a mineral-laced array of garrigue, sappy flowers, and crushed stone. With medium to full-bodied richness, a pure, elegant mouthfeel, and building tannins, it will benefit from 2-4 years of bottle age and have two decades of overall longevity."
