2025 Cvne - Viura Rioja Monopole Blanco (750ml)

CVNE, or Compañía Vinícola del Norte de España, is one of Rioja's most historic and respected producers, founded in 1879 and still recognized as one of the region's top houses. Monopole holds a special place in that history as Spain's oldest registered white wine brand, produced continuously under the same name since 1915, a testament to the winery's long-standing commitment to quality white Rioja.

Monopole is made from 100% Viura sourced from the winery's own vineyards and longtime grower partners in Rioja Alta, where the vines are head-trained in fresh clay soils. The grapes are harvested entirely by hand, then briefly macerated on their skins at low temperature before moving through a gentle pneumatic press. The resulting juice undergoes static clarification and ferments in stainless steel at controlled temperatures, a process built to preserve the variety's fruity, floral character without any oak influence.

The 2025 vintage shows a pale straw color with fresh aromas of citrus, green apple, and white flowers, layered with subtle herbal and saline notes. On the palate it is crisp and lively, with delicate minerality and a clean, elegant finish. It pairs well with seafood, tapas, or fresh salads.
