Glenlivet 12 yr Jamaica Edition Treasure Beach Single Malt Whiskey 750ml

The Glenlivet has distilled whisky at its Speyside site since 1824, and today it ranks among the most widely poured single malts in the world, with a presence stretching from cocktail bars to home collections across the globe. This release launches the brand's new Beyond Speyside series, which reimagines the classic 12 Year Old with cask finishes drawn from spirits made around the world. Treasure Beach, Jamaica, provides the inspiration for this debut edition, chosen to reflect the destination's tropical energy.

The whisky begins as The Glenlivet's familiar 12 Year Old, matured in American oak ex-bourbon barrels, before a portion undergoes secondary maturation in casks that previously held high-ester Jamaican rum. According to cask master Kevin Balmforth, the team worked to find a ratio that intensifies tropical sweetness without overpowering the brand's signature Speyside character. It is bottled at 40% ABV.

The nose opens with fresh mango and pineapple, joined by coconut and a lift of green apple. On the palate, juicy pineapple sweetness meets rich vanilla, toffee, and baked spice, with molasses and rum-cask warmth rounding out a smooth, velvety caramel finish.
