Graham's traces its roots to 1820, when the Glasgow-based trading firm run by brothers William and John Graham accepted a shipment of Port wine as settlement for a debt, a transaction that redirected the family business from textiles into the Port trade entirely. The house later became closely associated with Quinta dos Malvedos, a Douro estate purchased in 1890 that still supplies much of the fruit for both its Vintage Ports and Six Grapes, its longstanding reserve bottling. Graham's has since built a reputation for rich, opulent styles, and received a Royal Warrant to supply the British monarchy in 2015.

Six Grapes is sourced from the same vineyards that produce Graham's Vintage Ports, drawing on a blend of two to three harvests to arrive at an average age of five to six years. The wine is aged for roughly two years in large, seasoned wooden vats before being lightly filtered and bottled, a process meant to preserve its youthful vibrancy rather than push it toward the softer character of longer cask aging.

The color is a deep black-garnet, with perfumed aromas of blackberry, plum, and licorice layered over baking spice. The palate is full-bodied and silky, generous with dark fruit through a long, satisfying finish. Pair with barbecued ribs or a sharp aged cheddar.
