Scotty's Handcrafted Vodka 750ml

Scotty's Handcrafted Vodka comes from Double Down Distilling in Frederick, Maryland, founded by Scott Nash after he attended distilling school in 2008. Nash spent the following decade building his own commercial still and experimenting with distillation and filtration techniques in his garage, determined to eliminate the harshness typical of many vodkas. In 2018, he partnered with Ryan and Sarah Hill to formally establish the distillery, turning years of solo experimentation into a commercially available product that has since become a local favorite across Maryland liquor stores and tasting events.

Scotty's Vodka is distilled from corn, making it naturally gluten free, and put through six rounds of distillation. From there, it undergoes a proprietary 15-step filtration and stripping process that Nash spent a decade refining, designed specifically to strip out congeners, the compounds responsible for much of the burn and harshness found in lower-quality spirits. The result is a small-batch vodka built around a straightforward goal: maximum smoothness without sacrificing character.

Scotty's is known above all for its clean, exceptionally smooth character, with little to no ethanol bite on the way down. The corn base lends a light, neutral sweetness that carries through the sip without overwhelming the palate. It finishes soft and clean, making it a versatile choice whether sipped in a martini or mixed into a favorite cocktail recipe.
