Beluga Vodka was originally created in 2002 at the Mariinsk Distillery in Siberia, a facility with roots going back to 1900. In October 2022, the international rights to the Beluga brand, excluding Russia, were sold to Noblewood Group for over 75 million dollars, and production shifted accordingly. Noblewood, based in Montenegro, now sources its wheat spirit base from a distillery it operates in Latvia, with rectification, resting, and bottling carried out at its Montenegro facility. The Transatlantic expression within the Beluga range draws its name and nautical branding from the sport of yacht racing.

Beluga Transatlantic starts from a wheat spirit base produced in Latvia, which undergoes a six-column rectification process to refine the spirit before it heads to Montenegro. What sets this expression apart from other Beluga vodkas is a filtration step that passes the spirit through natural cotton, adding a layer of purification beyond the standard process. The vodka is then rested for an extended period of 45 days before bottling, longer than the typical 30-day rest given to other bottlings in the range, a step intended to further smooth the final spirit.

The nose is crisp and delicate, opening with light floral notes, citrus zest, and a touch of malted grain. On the palate, the vodka turns creamy and round, with hints of vanilla, white pepper, and fresh baked bread rounding out the character. The finish stays smooth and refreshing, closing with a light, balanced spice that lingers briefly.
