Grey Goose--PINT Vodka 375ml

Grey Goose was created in 1997 by American entrepreneur Sidney Frank in partnership with French cellar master François Thibault, who brought decades of expertise from Cognac's spirits industry to the project. Thibault insisted on full control over every ingredient, refusing to buy in bulk neutral spirit as many vodka producers do, and instead building the brand from the ground up around a single source of wheat and a single source of water. Sidney Frank sold Grey Goose to Bacardi Limited in 2004, though production has remained entirely within France ever since.

The vodka is distilled from single-origin soft winter wheat grown in Picardie, a region prized for its ideal soil and climate for winter grain, and sourced from just three local farming cooperatives within 50 kilometers of the distillery. The wheat is milled on-site and put through a five-column continuous distillation to produce a highly refined spirit, which then travels to Cognac to be blended with spring water drawn from the distillery's own well in Gensac-la-Pallue. That water is naturally filtered through Champagne limestone, the same geology long prized by the region's cognac producers, and no sugar, glycerin, or other additives are used. The finished vodka is bottled at 40% ABV.

The nose offers a faint whisper of coconut and toasted nuts over a clean, peppery spirit, with a touch of fennel. On the palate, it is smooth and faintly grainy, carrying cracked pepper and a subtle mineral quality with a whisper of anise. The finish is clean and refined, closing gently without any harsh burn.
