Suntory is Japan's pioneering whisky house, founded in 1899 by Shinjiro Torii in Osaka. The company built its reputation through decades of craftsmanship across three distinct distilleries, and its blends are now overseen by Chief Blender Shinji Fukuyo, who continues the house philosophy of balance, harmony, and precision. Suntory Whisky Toki, meaning "time" in Japanese, represents the brand's modern approach to blending, honoring tradition while rethinking convention.

Toki draws on whiskies from Suntory's three distilleries: Yamazaki, Hakushu, and Chita. Rather than centering the blend on Yamazaki malt as in the house's older expressions, Toki is built around Hakushu single malt aged in American oak alongside grain whisky from Chita, with smaller additions of aged Yamazaki malt contributing spice and depth. This structure inverts the traditional hierarchy between malt and grain, producing a lighter, more approachable style bottled at 43% ABV.

On the nose, Toki offers green apple, basil, and honey, while the palate brings grapefruit, green grapes, peppermint, and thyme. The finish turns subtly sweet and spicy, closing with vanilla oak, white pepper, and ginger. Silky and versatile, it can be enjoyed neat, on the rocks, or as a highball.
