Domaine François Mikulski is based in Meursault, a name that stays relatively discreet despite ranking among Burgundy's most sought-after producers. François has spent more than thirty years refining a style built on purity, finesse, and freshness, working the vineyards organically and using new oak sparingly. His son-in-law, Thomas Boccon, has joined him in recent years, continuing the estate's quiet, terroir-focused approach to winemaking.

This Bourgogne Côte d'Or Blanc comes from four small plots on the edge of Meursault, just 1.5 hectares of organically farmed vines averaging over twenty-five years old. Fermentation relies on indigenous yeasts, and the wine is raised in a mix of about two-thirds barrel and one-third tank, in 228-liter barrels with only ten percent new oak, for around ten months before a final two months in vats ahead of bottling.

Pale gold with a silvery edge, the wine offers juicy citrus and ripe stone fruit, with a light touch of oak that stays firmly in the background. The palate is silky and fruit-forward, finishing with a hint of white pepper and subtle spice. It drinks beautifully now with sole meunière or roast chicken.
