California's most thrilling Chenin Blanc — from one of the New California movement's most celebrated voices.

John Lockwood launched Enfield Wine Co. in 2010 after stints at Littorai and Failla, pursuing a singular philosophy: partner with small, historic growers to make wines that tell the best possible story about place. His wines are considered some of the finest of the New California movement.

The fruit comes from the famous X2 block at Jurassic Park Vineyard — own-rooted vines planted in 1978 on sandy limestone soils in the coastal Santa Ynez Valley. The juice is fermented with native yeast in neutral 500L oak puncheons, undergoes full malolactic fermentation, and is aged 11 months on lees, then bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal SO2. 

Full throttle Chenin — texture, acidity, and a touch of wildness. Lanolin, honey, mandarin peel, peach, chamomile, and flinty apple jump out of the glass with intensity and lively acidity that carries through an impressive finish. Think Vouvray meets Chablis, but unmistakably Californian.
