2025 Apollo's Praise - Riesling Kabinett Seneca Lake Lahoma Vineyard (750ml)

One of the most exciting young estates in the Finger Lakes hits its stride with this ode to a misunderstood style. Founded in 2023 by winemaking couple Kelby James Russell and Julia Rose Hoyle, Apollo's Praise is built around Lahoma Vineyard — an almost 20-acre site on the west side of Seneca Lake that Kelby made famous during his celebrated decade-long tenure at Red Newt Cellars. The Kabinett is their celebration of one of the most delicious and misunderstood expressions of Riesling that exists — explosively aromatic, with ripping acidity to underpin its precociousness, lower in alcohol, and capable of aging for decades. Crushed and cold soaked before pressing, with a cool, slow fermentation in stainless steel and extended lees rest — a process that preserves every ounce of floral lift and mineral tension the Lahoma site has to offer. Ripe peach, citrus blossom, and river stone, with that electric Seneca Lake acidity keeping it dancing. Just 8% ABV. Serve cold, drink joyfully.
