Finca Adalgisa is a tiny, family-run estate in Chacras de Coria, a quiet corner of Lujan de Cuyo in Mendoza, Argentina, where the Furlotti family has tended the same ground for three generations. The winery doubles as a boutique hotel on a three hectare property, and the wine itself is crafted by veteran winemaker Carmelo Patti, who is known for prioritizing balance and terroir and for being one of the few Argentine vignerons to age his wines before release.

The fruit for this Malbec comes from a small 0.85 hectare vineyard first planted in 1916, making these among the oldest Malbec vines in the region. Farming leans traditional and artisanal, with horses used to plow the soil and vines watered with snowmelt sourced from the high Andes. Because the plot is so limited, total output stays remarkably small, keeping this a rare, boutique bottling rather than a mass-market Malbec.

This wine leans toward a more structured, Bordeaux-influenced style than many Mendoza Malbecs, showing dark berry fruit, warm baking spice, and a touch of cedar, with silky tannins and a long, layered finish. It pairs beautifully with grilled steak, lamb, or aged hard cheeses, and it also holds up well alongside rich, spice-driven braises.
