Agricola Sulin is a family winery run by brothers Mauro and Fabio Fracchia, farming about twenty hectares on the border between Asti and Alessandria provinces, in the small hamlet of Grazzano Badoglio. The estate has built its reputation around Piedmont's lesser-known native grapes, particularly Grignolino, at a time when most of the region's attention goes to Nebbiolo and Barbera. Many of Sulin's labels, including this one, still carry artwork originally designed by the brothers' father, Adriano, tying the wines to local history and tradition.

Brasal is Sulin's interpretation of Monferace, a designation created by a small group of Monferrato producers to prove that Grignolino can age gracefully rather than being drunk only young. The wine ferments traditionally with native yeasts and daily pump-overs, then spends a minimum of twenty-four months in wood before resting at least sixteen more months in bottle. Its name refers to pallone al bracciale, a traditional local ball game the Fracchia family has long been passionate about.

The wine shows a pale ruby color with orange tinges from its extended aging, offering wild strawberry, floral violet, and delicate spice, with subtle balsamic undertones. The palate is vibrant, with fine tannins and bright acidity leading to a long, refreshing finish. It pairs well with antipasti, boiled meats, and soft cheeses.
