2024 Felluga, Livio - Friulano (750ml)

A benchmark expression of Friuli's native white from one of the region's founding estates. Grown on Ponca soils (marl and sandstone), fermented and aged in stainless steel on lees. The nose shows restrained stone fruit, peach peel, ferns, lemon leaves, flowers, iodine, and minerals. Very silky and smooth on the medium-bodied palate, almost leesy, with crisp acidity and tension through the long, savoury finish. Classic varietal character with white flowers, green pea, and citrus leaning toward bergamot and kumquat, with hints of sweet almond; the palate is glossy and textural. Drink now
