Giuseppe Nada is a small, family-run estate in Treiso, one of the villages within the Barbaresco zone. The family's connection to the land dates back to 1900, when they acquired the Casot vineyard, purchased from the Gaja family, and began estate bottling in 1964, just before Barbaresco earned its own DOC in 1966. In 1968 the winery relocated up the hill to Marcarini, where it still operates today. The estate remains a true family concern, with Giuseppe and his wife Nella tending the vines, daughter Barbara running operations, and son Enrico serving as winemaker.

This Langhe Nebbiolo comes from the Marcarini and Casot crus, two of Treiso's oldest and most prized vineyard sites, farmed organically on southeast- and southwest-facing slopes. The wine is fermented in stainless steel at controlled temperatures with frequent pump-overs, then macerated for twenty to thirty days to build structure while keeping the style approachable early. It then ages for eight to nine months in used Allier oak tonneaux before bottling.

In the glass it shows ruby red with garnet reflections, offering a delicate bouquet of rose petal and violet layered over cherry, raspberry, and warm spice. The palate is medium to full-bodied, with well-integrated tannins and balanced acidity leading to a persistent finish. It pairs nicely with grilled beef, cured salame, and aged parmesan.
