2024 Jacques Carillon - Puligny Montrachet (750ml) [PRE ARRIVAL]
Domaine Jacques Carillon farms five and a half hectares in Puligny-Montrachet, with a small parcel extending into neighboring Chassagne-Montrachet, producing some of the most focused and mineral-driven white Burgundies in the Côte de Beaune. The estate traces its lineage to the historic Carillon family domaine, which split between brothers Jacques and François in 2010, with Jacques continuing a tradition centered on precise, terroir-expressive Chardonnay.
The 2024 vintage brought classic, cool-climate conditions to Puligny, and this village-level bottling reflects that freshness beautifully. On the nose, the wine is citrusy and bright, while the palate carries that same lively citrus character without any heaviness or harsh edges. Overall, the wine shows a delicate, elegant profile with a medium body, perfumed aromatics, and a cool, forward energy that Carillon has become known for. It is a true, classic expression of village Puligny, refined rather than showy, with real tension and lift.
This is a versatile white built for the table, pairing naturally with shellfish, roast chicken, or soft cheeses. It drinks well young but has the structure to develop nicely over the next several years.
