This Premier Cru comes from a small, 0.55-hectare parcel of Les Champs Canet planted by Jacques Carillon's father in 1973, now more than fifty years old. The vines sit on marl-limestone soils at the northern edge of Puligny-Montrachet, right at the border with Meursault, a location that lends the wine both power and finesse. Domaine Jacques Carillon, formed when the historic Carillon estate split between brothers Jacques and François in 2010, has carried forward a family tradition of taut, mineral-driven Chardonnay that has made the Carillon name nearly synonymous with top-tier Puligny.

The 2024 vintage shows a floral, refined character, with fine mineral tone and a perfumed spiciness on the nose. On the palate, the wine is elegant and light on its feet, carrying a cool, vivid energy and lovely tension through a long finish. Old-vine concentration gives the wine real depth without weighing it down, a hallmark of Carillon's classic, restrained style. It drinks beautifully in its youth but has the structure to reward cellaring for up to a decade, making it a compelling choice for both immediate enjoyment and long-term collecting.
