Pavillon Blanc du Château Margaux

Sold in the 19th century under the name « Château Margaux vin de sauvignon », it has existed under the brand name « Pavillon Blanc du Château Margaux » since 1920 and its label has not changed since that date. The eleven-hectare vineyard is located on a very old parcel and planted only with Sauvignon Blanc. Today it benefits from the new wine cellar’s ultra-modern installations designed by Norman Foster.

The finesse, complexity, richness and the length in the mouth of Pavillon Blanc are incomparable for a wine produced only from Sauvignon. The recent vintages have opened up new horizons in quality, ageing capacity and style which has become more mineral and much more complex.

The 2025 vintage

The nose is deep, offering notes of fresh hazelnut, white peach and lilac. On the palate, the wine is rich and full-bodied, while at the same time retaining a delightful freshness. The salinity brings liveliness and length, making for a harmonious, persistent expression.

97-99 Points
"All Sauvignon Blanc raised in 20% new barriques, the 2025 Château Margaux Pavillon Blanc checks in at 14% alcohol with a pH of 3.14. It has a riper-than-usual nose of citrus, honeyed lemon, white flowers, and chalky minerality, and on the palate, it's rich, pure, and concentrated, with remarkable depth and focus. As always, this is a brilliant, singular, absolutely riveting expression of Sauvignon Blanc"
