Iskrena Plum Fruit Brandy 1L

Iskrena Rakija comes from Kokanović Distillery, a family-run operation in the village of Slavkovica at the foot of Mount Rajac in western Serbia. The Kokanović family, based in Belgrade, chose to return to the land and take up fruit growing and distilling, and in a short time built Iskrena into one of the region's notable brandy houses. Visitors to the distillery are welcomed warmly and can taste the family's range of rakija alongside homemade raspberry and blackberry preserves and juices grown on the property.

This rakija is distilled from hand-selected, fully ripened plums, fermented naturally before distillation to concentrate their character. Following distillation, the spirit is rested in oak barrels, a step that rounds out the fruit and builds depth and smoothness over time. The result is a rich, full-bodied brandy that reflects both the quality of the fruit and the care taken throughout the process, bottled at 40% ABV.

The nose carries a rich plum aroma, while the palate shows deep, full-bodied fruit with subtle almond undertones beneath the natural sweetness. The finish is smooth and warm, lingering pleasantly, and the brandy is best enjoyed neat at room temperature or lightly chilled.
