1792 Full Proof Bourbon comes from Barton 1792 Distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky, one of the oldest continuously operating distilleries in the self-proclaimed Bourbon Capital of the World. Founded in 1879 by Tom Moore, the site passed through several owners before Sazerac acquired it in 2009 and renamed it Barton 1792. The distillery's flagship brand takes its name from 1792, the year Kentucky achieved statehood.

This high-rye bourbon is bottled at 125 proof, the same strength at which it entered the barrel, a detail that gives the release its name. Rather than chill filtering, the whiskey passes only through a plate and frame filter, preserving more of its natural body and oils. It ages in the distillery's metal-clad, multi-story rickhouses before bottling with no age statement disclosed.

On the nose, this bourbon offers caramel, dried cherry, and vanilla layered with hints of leather and oak. The palate is rich and full-bodied, delivering baking spice, cinnamon, and toasted nutmeg alongside notes of ripe stone fruit. A warm, lingering finish rounds out this bold, high-proof pour.
