1990 Dominus - Napa Estate

Created by Christian Moueix, the Bordeaux winemaker behind Château Pétrus, Dominus was born from a 1982 partnership with Robin Lail and Marcia Smith on the historic Napanook Vineyard in Yountville, land that traces back to Napa's earliest days of cultivation in the 1850s and once fed the legendary Inglenook Cabernets of the 1950s and 60s. Robert Parker called the 1990 the finest wine Moueix and his partners had produced up to that point, an opaque, richly concentrated wine combining Napa's strength and ripeness with Bordeaux's finesse and complexity. Voluptuously textured and multi-dimensional, it remains a benchmark of the estate's Bordeaux-inspired style, a mature, age-worthy Napa Cabernet now showing real depth, elegance, and timeless class at 35 years of age.
