"One of the top wines in the vintage, the 2012 Châteauneuf du Pape Feminessance checks in as a blend of 60% Grenache and 40% Syrah that spent 12 months in 50% new French oak and 50% in 1-year-old barrels. Made in a modern, yet incredibly polished, seamless and ultra-pure style, it gives up fabulous black raspberry, cassis and creamy licorice in its medium to full-bodied, perfectly balanced, concentrated style. There’s certainly hints of vanilla and integrated oak here, but it’s subtle, and I suspect, will be soaked up by all of the fruit in another couple years. This knockout Châteauneuf will have 10-15 years of longevity."
