2013 Signatory Linkwood 10 yr Single Malt 700ml

Signatory Vintage was founded in Edinburgh in 1988 by Andrew Symington, who developed a fascination with single cask whisky while managing the Prestonfield House Hotel. The company's first release, a 1968 Glenlivet, sold out almost immediately and set the template for a business built on sourcing individual casks and bottling them without artificial coloring or chill filtration. In 2002 Symington purchased Edradour distillery near Pitlochry and relocated operations there, and Signatory has since grown into one of Scotland's most prolific independent bottlers, drawing on tens of thousands of casks from distilleries across the country.

This expression comes from Linkwood, a Speyside distillery whose spirit is prized by blenders for its clean, floral character. Distilled in 2013, the whisky spent a full decade maturing in second fill Oloroso sherry butts before being bottled in 2024 at cask strength as part of Signatory's 100 Proof series, non-chill filtered and free of added color.

Expect stewed apricots and plums on the nose alongside honey, vanilla, and a trace of citrus zest. The palate turns smooth and rounded, layering dried fruit, caramel, and toffee with warm cinnamon and nutmeg, while gentle oak carries through to a spiced, malty finish.
