A Rothschild Pauillac in the most coveted format, direct from the château. This 1.5L Magnum of the 2015 Château Clerc Milon is a rare opportunity — ex-château provenance means impeccable storage from day one, and the magnum format is widely regarded as the ideal vessel for long-term aging, allowing the wine to develop at a slower, more graceful pace.

Owned by Baron Philippe de Rothschild — the same family behind Mouton Rothschild — Clerc Milon is a Fifth Growth Pauillac that has undergone major renovations in both cellar and vineyard, with 2015 ranking among the estate's finest vintages.

A total gem, the 2015 blends 51% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot, 13% Cabernet Franc, and traces of Petit Verdot and Carmenère.  It offers a gorgeous nose of sandalwood, cinnamon sticks, and candied violets, with an opulent palate of cassis, plum, blackberries, cedar, and spice.  Depth, complexity, chewy tannins that are just gearing up, coffee, cinnamon, and chocolate touches — easily one of the best Pauillacs from this vintage, with a drinking window stretching to 2040.

In magnum. Ex-château. From one of Bordeaux's greatest recent vintages. This is the one to lay down.

93+ Points
"A blend of 51% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot, 13% Cabernet Franc, 1% Petit Verdot and 1% Carmenere, the medium garnet-purple colored 2015 Clerc Milon opens with expressive crushed blackberries, red and black plums and cigar boxes notions with suggestions..."
