Domaine Perrot-Minot is based in Morey-Saint-Denis on Burgundy's Côte de Nuits, its roots running through the Merme family line near Domaine Taupenot-Merme. Christophe Perrot-Minot, son of Marie-France Merme and Henri Perrot-Minot, joined the estate in 1993 and expanded it in 2000 by acquiring Domaine Pernin-Rossin. Today he and his wife, Marit Lindal Perrot-Minot, farm about thirteen hectares from Nuits-Saint-Georges to Gevrey-Chambertin, known for old vines and rigorous selection.

Chambertin, the most celebrated grand cru of the Côte de Nuits, sits on a limestone-rich slope above Gevrey-Chambertin, long prized for wines of unusual depth and structure. This vieilles vignes bottling comes from some of the oldest vines within the cru, farmed for low yields. Grapes are hand-picked and sorted, then vinified gently, rarely more than twenty percent new oak, and often bottled without fining or filtration.

This 2015 shows deep garnet color with aromas of raspberry, redcurrant, and dried rose petal over spice and blood orange. A thread of sea salt minerality runs beneath the fruit, and the palate is silky yet structured, with fine tannin carrying to a long, savory finish. Still youthful, it rewards cellaring and pairs well with roasted duck, braised short ribs, or aged Comté.
