2018 Chateau Haut Brion - Pessac (750ml)
Château Haut-Brion is the oldest of Bordeaux's First Growths and the only property outside the Médoc included in the historic 1855 Classification — a distinction that speaks to the singular quality of its gravel terroir in the heart of Pessac, now surrounded by the outskirts of Bordeaux itself. 2018 was a powerful, ripe vintage on the Left Bank, and this Cabernet Sauvignon-led blend with Merlot and Cabernet Franc shows real concentration: dark fruit, tobacco, graphite, and a signature earthy, smoky minerality on the nose, with a full-bodied, dense palate, firm structure, and a remarkably long finish. One of the most collectible and age-worthy wines in the world, from a landmark vintage.
