"Clos le Grand Beaupreau is the highest point in the appellation and it provides a tightly knit, structured style that needs time to relax in bottle. There are golden hints in the 2018 Clos le Grand Beaupreau coupled with vanilla notes on the nose due to barrel fermentation (400-liter barrels, of which one-quarter are new). Uncompromising and firm, this should open up in the next 2–4 years, revealing more of the apple and floral hints that currently sit in the background. While its acidity will keep this wine together until eternity, the modest level of complexity and moderate length suggest it will be best consumed in the first 10 years of its life."
