"As opposed to the Piere that is aged in steel, this wine sees 10 months of lees aging in French oak. The Vie di Romans 2018 Friuli Isonzo Sauvignon Blanc Vieris reveals ripe peach aromas and more flavors from the orchard with apple, pear and tropical notes at the back. As the wine expands to fill the confines of the glass, it peels back with orange peel and candied fruit. Dig a little deeper and you get warm notes of pastry crust and cream custard, with some of the salty mineral you should always expect from these unique Friuli sedimentary soils."
