B. Leighton is the collaborative project of winemaker Brennon Leighton, Director of Winemaking and Viticulture for Charles Smith Wines, who also oversees celebrated labels like K Vintners. This Syrah comes from Olsen Brothers Vineyard in the Yakima Valley, a sub-region within the Columbia Valley known for producing some of Washington's most acclaimed Rhône-style reds. The 2019 vintage was noted for its fresher, more focused character, giving the wine an elegant, food-friendly structure.

Expect a medium to full-bodied red with a dark, brooding color and an aromatic profile of black and blue fruit, violets, and roasted meat, layered with black pepper, wet stone, and savory herbal notes. On the palate, the wine shows ripe, polished tannins and flavors of blackberry, black raspberry, and black olive, with a long, savory finish that echoes classic Northern Rhône Syrah.
