Domaine Overnoy-Crinquand sits in the center of Pupillin, in the heart of the Arbois appellation, where the same family has farmed for three generations. Mikaël Crinquand now oversees the vines, continuing the family's poly-cultural approach that also includes dairy cows raised for Comté cheese and various grains, alongside 5.5 hectares of vineyards planted on the steep clay-limestone slopes known as La Bidode, tended organically since the estate's founding decades ago.

This Chardonnay ferments in wood, with malolactic conversion also taking place in barrel, before an extended élevage of at least two years in demi-muids of five to six hundred liters. Very little sulfur is used during aging, and while the wine is not deliberately left sous voile, it goes untopped for much of that time and is racked only once, an approach that lets a touch of oxidative character develop alongside the wine's natural richness.

The result is firm and full-bodied, with a honeyed nose and palate balanced by bright acidity. The finish is long and mineral-driven, reflecting the clay-limestone soils of Pupillin. It pairs nicely with roast chicken, aged Comté, or richer fish preparations.
