"The Boschis Francesco 2019 Langhe Freisa Bosco delle Cicale pours to a medium black color with lots of raw and tangy berry fruit. Freisa is a terrific grape, and here you get some crushed black pepper, bright cherry fruit and plum. There is lots of pretty but easy intensity in this great entry-level red, with a relatively light 12.5% alcohol content. This release of 2,186 bottles is new to me and seems like a good value for an unusual varietal."
