One of Saint-Émilion's most storied estates, classified Premier Grand Cru Classé B and situated on the celebrated limestone plateau and clay-gravel slopes at the foot of the côte. The 2020 is superb — rich, dense, and explosive, with black cherry, gravel, licorice, grilled herbs, and menthol racing out of the glass. Deep, pliant, and thrilling, this is a vivid, statuesque Saint-Émilion that is still very much an infant. Medium to full-bodied, pure, and seamless, with cassis and darker raspberry-like fruits, good mid-palate depth, ripe tannins, and compelling complexity in notes of graphite, sandalwood, and Asian spices.
