Collosorbo is a family estate in Montalcino that makes sustainably farmed Brunello from 100% Sangiovese. The fruit is hand-harvested from the estate’s best vineyards. It is fermented with long skin maceration and aged three years in oak, then at least eight months in bottle. The 2020 is an open, ripe style with fresh roses, black cherries, raspberries and macerated violets. Sour cherry, licorice, underbrush and sweet spice add depth. It’s powerful and warm yet elegant, with a long, persistent finish. It’s ready to enjoy with a decant and should age well for 10+ years. Serve it with roast meats, ribeye or aged pecorino.

92 Points
"The 2020 Brunello Di Montalcino sports a youthful ruby/red color and is ripe and expressive on the nose with the sweet perfume of baked strawberries, hints of blue fruit, candied violets, and toasted vanilla bean. Full-bodied, supple, and refined on the palate, with ripe tannins and a glossy texture, it retains very nice freshness and buoyancy on the palate and has a clean, even finish. It's highly approachable now and casts a wide net as an introduction to Brunello. Drink over the next 7-8 years."
