"The 2020 Etna Rosso Guardiola grumbles up with a mineral-inflected blend of ashen stones, black cherries and dried roses. It's silky, round and supple upon entry, yet quickly gains in tension. Tart wild berry fruits and saline tones are carried across a core of brisk acidity. Inner rose and nuances of sour citrus are left to linger as the Guardiola finishes structured and long, leaving a staining of licorice behind. Today, the 2020 is holding its power in reserve. This is a formidable vintage of Guardiola."
