2021 Bodegas Mauro - Tempranillo Vino Tinto (750ml)

 Founded in 1980 by Mariano García — Vega Sicilia's first formally trained winemaker and one of Ribera del Duero's most influential figures — Bodegas Mauro sits just outside the appellation in Tudela de Duero, giving García freedom to work outside its rules while drawing on the same terroir and expertise. This flagship red is predominantly old-vine Tempranillo, aged in a mix of French and American oak. The cooler, wetter 2021 growing season shows through in real balance, depth, and finesse — widely considered among the finest recent vintages from the estate. Bright ruby in color, with a floral, fragrant nose and impeccable ripeness; juicy, velvety, and beautifully balanced on the palate.
