Brooks Wine is an Oregon estate built around a singular vision for Riesling and Pinot Noir, farmed with a deep commitment to biodynamic and sustainable practices. This bottling is a blend from the majority of Brooks' Willamette Valley Riesling sites, sourced primarily from the Miranda, Vitae Springs, and Hyland vineyards along with several smaller estate parcels.

The 2021 growing season saw reduced yields from rain during bloom, followed by a dry summer punctuated by unprecedented heatwaves that arrived, fortunately, before veraison. A long, measured harvest stretched from early September into mid-October under cooler temperatures, resulting in clean fruit, high sugars, balanced acids, and concentrated flavors that make 2021 one of Oregon's standout vintages.

The finished wine shows aromas of jasmine, citron zest, and wet stone, complemented by a citrus-driven palate of Meyer lemon, green pear, and Granny Smith apple, all carried by a quenching, saline finish. Sourced from vineyards scattered across volcanic and marine sediment soils throughout the valley, it's crisp and moderately juicy on the medium-bodied palate, with animating acidity that stays well integrated from start to finish.

This dry Riesling is a versatile match for spicy or aromatic cuisine, Asian fare, and shellfish, and a great pick for anyone who wants a food-friendly white with real precision.

92 Points
"Bright nose of sliced apple, pomelo and grapefruit with a hint of spring meadows. Crisp and moderately juicy on the medium-bodied palate with an animating, very well integrated acidity. Long, properly dry salty finish with spot-on balance. A cuvee from more vineyards scattered across the region with volcanic and marine sediment soils."
