Domaine de Beaurenard has been a family-run estate for seven generations, currently overseen by brothers Frédéric and Daniel Coulon, producing certified organic and biodynamic wines from celebrated Rhône terroir.  Better known for their legendary Châteauneuf-du-Pape, their Rasteau is a quietly brilliant expression of what this up-and-coming AOC can deliver. The Guide Hachette des Vins awarded the 2021 vintage 2 stars.

Beautifully deep in color, the 2021 offers superbly fresh aromas of garrigue and wild blueberries, mirrored on the palate with notes of wild raspberry, rosemary, and thyme.  An engaging nose of dark fruits, graphite, and crushed plums leads to a layered, fresh palate with soft, rounded tannins, spice, and a rich, textured finish.

A blend of 80% Grenache, 17% Syrah, and 3% Mourvèdre, sourced from the best slopes and terraces of the famous Rasteau terroir, from organically and biodynamically farmed vineyards with an average vine age of 45 years.  Rich, soulful, and extraordinary value for the quality in the glass.

90 Points
"Packs a weighty core of cherry preserves and plum, with black licorice notes, toasted apple wood and a firming spine of iron. A formidable, serious red, laced with ripe yet subtly grippy tannins through the singed herb–flecked finish. Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre. Drink now through 2026. 6,000 cases made, 1,200 cases imported"
