From the esteemed Domaine Albert Morot, the 2022 Beaune 1er Cru "Les Teurons" is a magnificent and terroir-driven Pinot Noir. This wine is sourced from one of Beaune's most respected Premier Cru vineyards, with vines averaging 50 years of age on a mix of limestone and marl soils. The 2022 vintage is known for producing wines of richness and elegance, and this bottling is no exception.  On the nose, it offers a complex bouquet of ripe black and red fruits, including black cherry and poached plum, complemented by earthy notes, baking spices, and a hint of violet. The palate is powerful yet refined, with a silky texture and a concentrated core of fruit that is framed by fine, integrated tannins. The wine's vibrant acidity and impressive length on the finish speak to its balance and excellent aging potential. This is a classic, organic Burgundy that will be delicious with decanting in its youth, and will continue to evolve beautifully in the cellar for a decade or more.

91-93 Points
"Fresh and ripe liqueur-like aromas are composed by notes of soft wood, black cherry, poached plum and plenty of earth influence along with a mentholated top note. The sleek, delicious and vibrant middleweight flavors possess a subtle minerality that carries over to the compact, dusty and youthfully austere finale where a touch of warmth slowly emerges. Note that this is firm enough to make clear that this will need at least a few years of patience. This too is excellent."
