One of Argentina's most startling and delightful departures from expectation — and proof that the Uco Valley has far more to say than Malbec alone. Ver Sacrum is the project dedicated to proving that Grenache/Garnacha can achieve something genuinely thrilling at high altitude in Mendoza, and the Gloria is their most compelling and serious expression of that conviction. The Gloria is sourced from a single goblet-trained vineyard planted in 2012 in the Los Chacayes Geographic Indication within the Uco Valley, using massal selection material from the original 1947 Barrancas Vineyard that first inspired the project — a living bridge between Argentina's viticultural past and its most exciting present.

100% hand-harvested Garnacha, macerated on skins for four days before being racked into 400L French oak and clay amphora to ferment, then aged 50% in clay amphora and 50% in third-use French oak for 18 months, followed by an additional 20 months in bottle before release. The result is utterly unlike anything else from Argentina. The nose is vibrant and perfumed — raspberry and cranberry wrapped in wet clay and a touch of ash, while the palate is soft and round with red cherry and baking spices and a light tannin backbone — nuanced and layered in a way that recalls the finest modern Garnachas of Spain rather than anything from the New World. Stylistically aligned with modern Spanish Garnachas — lean and tense with whole-cluster grip, refreshing lift, and crystalline purity. For the adventurous wine lover ready to be surprised by Argentina, this is essentia
