2022 Villa Corniole - Muller Thurgau Trentino Superiore DOC (750ml)

If one wine defines the Val di Cembra, it’s Müller Thurgau, and Villa Corniole is one of its leading interpreters. The Pellegrini family farms high-altitude terraces carved into the valley’s red porphyry, the “heroic viticulture” that gives this grape its crisp, aromatic mountain character. Their Müller has taken home multiple gold medals at the International Müller Thurgau competition held right in Cembra, and Gambero Rosso singles it out for its elegance and finesse. The 2022 even featured at the valley’s annual Müller Thurgau festival in a tasting on the grape’s aging potential. Expect white flowers, citrus, green apple and alpine herbs, with a fresh, vibrant palate and a clean, mineral finish. A perfect aperitivo, and great with trout, shellfish, speck or Asian dishes.
