2023 Bisol - Prosecco Valdobbiadene DOCG Cartizze (750ml)
The Bisol family has been making wine in Valdobbiadene since 1542, and their Cartizze bottling represents the pinnacle of that tradition. Sourced from the famed Cartizze hill, often called the "Grand Cru" of Prosecco, this wine comes from a small hillside zone where Glera ripens slowly on ancient marine soils under full sun exposure and steady ventilation. Bisol's own holding on this legendary crest spans just a few acres, hand harvested each October and prized for producing some of the most refined Prosecco Superiore in the region.
The 2023 vintage pours a bright straw yellow with a fine, persistent perlage. On the nose, peach sorbet and green melon mingle with mint leaf and chamomile, evolving slowly in the glass. The palate strikes a graceful balance between sweetness and tension, with ripe orchard fruit and confectionary spice riding a wave of juicy acidity. Delicate florals and hints of candied citrus round out a long, harmonious finish.
Traditionally off-dry in style, this Cartizze is best served chilled and makes an elegant aperitif or a pairing for light appetizers, fresh fruit, and creamy desserts.
