2023 Boigey Freres - Vosne Romanee Suchots (750ml) [PRE ARRIVAL]

Domaine Boigey Frères, previously known as Domaine Albert Noirot, is a rising estate in Vosne-Romanée run by brothers Guillaume and Olivier, who began bottling under their own name in 2019. Les Suchots entered the family's portfolio in 2021 as leases on inherited parcels expired and vineyards gradually returned to the domaine's control. Recent vintages have shown a clear step up in quality as the brothers refine their winemaking, and the estate has drawn growing attention as one of the more promising newer names to emerge from the village.

Les Suchots is a premier cru vineyard of roughly 0.7 hectares sitting between Romanée-Saint-Vivant and Échézeaux, on soils of ferruginous limestone considered close in character to the neighboring grand crus. The domaine farms the site organically and biodynamically, with the vines here averaging around 30 years old. Following a traditional fermentation in open vats with full malolactic conversion, the wine typically ages for 10 to 12 months in French oak, a portion of it new, giving it structure without masking the site's natural expression.

This wine shows an intense garnet color and a complex nose of black currant and blackberry, layered with fine spice and floral notes. On the palate it is ample and fresh, with licorice, cocoa, and dark berry flavors carrying through to a long, refined finish built on silky, well-integrated tannins.
