2023 Camille Thiriet - Savagnin Cotes du Jura (750ml) [PRE ARRIVAL]

Camille Thiriet founded her label in 2016 with her husband, Matt Chittick, beginning as a micro-négociant project in Comblanchien, in the Côte de Nuits. Their first wines were made in a tiny garage, and the domaine still favors a hands-on, artisanal approach with organic farming and minimal intervention. Production is small, and many bottlings are limited to just a barrel or two. Her link to the Jura comes through her grandmother, which inspired her to source fruit from the region, particularly around Arbois.

This 2023 Côtes du Jura Savagnin is made entirely from Savagnin, a late-ripening, thick-skinned white grape that thrives on the region's grey marl soils. The wine is handled with the gentle, native-yeast philosophy that guides the domaine's cellar work, with minimal inputs and a light touch.

The wine is medium bodied and textured, with crisp acidity that keeps it lively. Orange, green apple, and mineral notes lead, with a faint buttery richness in the background.
