Domaine Coche-Dury was founded in 1920 by Jean-François Coche's grandfather, and Jean-François himself began working the family vineyards at age fourteen. His 1975 marriage to Odile Dury brought additional holdings into the estate, forming the domaine as it exists today. Now guided by son Raphaël, with Jean-François still a regular presence in the cellar, Coche-Dury farms roughly nine hectares across Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, Auxey-Duresses, Monthelie, and Volnay, all planted without clones, a rarity in Burgundy.

This Bourgogne Blanc is sourced from Chardonnay parcels surrounding the family's home commune of Meursault. The Coches favor gentle pressing and regular lees stirring in barrel, roughly half of which are replaced each year, a method built to express the terroir without overshadowing it. Coche has always prioritized structure and cut over sheer ripeness in his white wines, favoring vibrant acidity that allows even his entry-level bottling to age gracefully well beyond what the appellation typically suggests.

Golden in the glass, the wine shows crushed stone and citrus aromas that emerge with air, leading into a palate built on crisp acidity with hints of lemongrass and lime. It carries real tension and precision for a village-level wine, closing on a long, mineral finish. Pair it with roast chicken, seared scallops, or a simple gratin.
